Spotlight on Lucy

Lucy is a potter, teacher and staff member here at Northern Light Art Studio. She is best known for her sgraffito works, and loves throwing big. Her favorite clay is midrange oxidation with manganese, and she’s sure her gigantic wooden rib gives her superpowers.

As Director of Education, she manages our teaching curriculum and education programs at NLAS. If you’ve ever taken a class with us, you’ve heard from Lucy!

Featured above are a few of her favorite sgraffito works, and her 10 pound bowl she demoed at our Grand Opening in November.

She will be teaching her Sgraffito Workshop on 1/31, and you can catch her at our upcoming Valentine’s Art Market on Feb 3rd and 4th.
