Explore a new hobby in our 5-week Pottery 101 Course! This class is perfect for beginners or potters that are looking to refresh there skills. In this hands-on course will learn the essential techniques needed to create beautiful, functional pottery pieces.
Under the guidance of skilled instructors, you’ll learn the basics of working on the potter’s wheel, including centering clay, shaping vessels, and trimming. You’ll also explore surface decoration and glazing techniques, giving you the skills to craft your own unique pieces. With small class sizes, you’ll receive personalized attention and feedback as you develop your skills at your own pace.
Class overview
Day 1: Detailed live throwing demonstration and guided throwing time
Day 2: Guided throwing time
Day 3: Live trimming demo and guided work time
Day 4: Glazing and surface decoration
Day 5: Class critique and take home finished work
Age Requirement: This class is suitable for student ages 16 and older.
